Steve Body's "Uncorked" Online Archives
Thanks for visiting the online archives for my newspaper column, "Uncorked", as published in the Snoqualmie Valley Record! The print version is published once a month in the Valley Living tabloid insert and will appear here shortly after. This insert is usually run the last week of each month, so lok for new additions here around the first of each month. I've provided email links that can get you in touch with me in case you agree - or, better, disagree! - with what you read. I look forward to hearing from you!

Who You're Dealing With...
I'm a former ad agency creative director for five agencies on the East Coast and became a chef at age 38 after burning out on advertising. I worked for Wolfgang Puck at his Obachine and Puck Cafe operations, ran the Second Avenue Bistro and Toscana in Seattle, and was a partner in Catering @ The Yacht Club and Bakery @ The Yacht Club, both in Seattle's Eastlake neighborhood. Later, I was chef at Pasta Freska in Seattle and day chef at Bistro Pleasant Beach on Bainbridge Island, WA. While still at Pleasant Beach, I began selling wine for my friend, Hugh Remash, at Winslow Wine Shop. That job led to a position as buyer with the Town & Country Markets chain and later at Esquin Wine Merchants in the Sodo area of Seattle. In 2005, with my Gal Pal, Judye Allman, I opened VinElla, a wine, chocolate, and specialty beer shop in Woodinville, Washington. VinElla can be visited on the web at vinellawines.com.
Fun Things Inside? Really?
Actually, yeah! I've included a small photo gallery and some links you might find interesting, and the content of these will change from time to time. As space on this site is limited, I'll shift some columns off here to another site as new ones appear. I'll provide links to that site so older articles can be easily accessed. This is all low-tech, folks, so please bear with me!
